LEP is an open system – and a language that is understood by many other classification systems. This means that LEP can be easily linked with other modules from the healthcare sector, including classifications of care diagnoses and care goals. Care and treatment processes can be mapped in a transparent, structured and efficient way with LEP and its classification partners and analysed in second use.
LEP is compatible with many classification systems from different areas. Data from LEP classifications and partner classifications can be combined to obtain the most meaningful assessment of performance possible. For example, the services provided by healthcare professionals can be combined with patient-related data (length of stay, age, procedures, diagnoses) or staff-related data (occupational group, level of training, working hours, etc.). This can support a differentiated, objective view of the facility. The analytics can be used to identify irregularities and potential for change. This supports management in strategic leadership.
