What is LEP®?
LEP® is a tool for the workload management in nursing. LEP® has become the standard in nursing management in Switzerland. In the year 2007 more than 152 hospitals in Switzerland and 42 hospitals in Germany and Austria rely on this highly sophisticated management tool.

LEP® was developed in a joint effort of the Cantonal Hospital in St. Gallen, the University Hospital in Zurich in collaboration with social scientists of the University of St. Gallen.

LEP® consists of a set of statistical procedures to describe, plan and control nursing workloads. But LEP® is far more than that. The care given to every patient is made visible and can be assessed. Teams of nurses can check and enhance their work with LEP in dimensions of nursing quality. Hospital administrations can calculate nursing costs down to the single patient, groups of medical diagnoses etc. But LEP® is a simple powerful resource to communicate nursing issues in the hospital organization and supports the collaboration between nurses, medical doctors and the administration.

LEP® is available in German, French and Italian and soon english. Behind LEP® stands a powerful and innovative organization - the LEP AG. We not only sell a method, but also offer training, seminars, consulting, coaching and a certification process to guarantee the appropriate use of the method. LEP® is continually improved and supervised by a wide network of nurses and researchers to guarantee the value of the investments of the users. The annual LEP-user conference is a platform for discussion and development of LEP® for all registered hospitals.
